Job Description

  • Has long-term job experience (6 - 8 years) of which 2-3 years must have been in the position for Siemens Industrial Steam Turbine(Certificates of employment and references required)
  • Successfully completed vocational training according to the country of origin
  • Completed an apprenticeship or have 2 3 years proven job experience in a specific trade
  • Understands the technical language used on the job site (mostly the contractual agreed upon language)
  • Comprehends and speaks English
  • Knowledge of the trade specific tools, tackles, special tools, consumable goods and materials and their proper application
  • Understands and is able to interpret written instructions and sketches
  • Must eventually prepare simple written instructions and sketches related to the trade
  • Must be able to execute independently specialized and sophisticated erection jobs and be able to supervise working teams of K II - K IV-personnel
  • Must be able to perform task specific planning and execution: estimations of man hours, personnel requirements, tools, consumables and material disposition
  • Knowledgeable about safety, accident prevention, workers’ care and scaffolding erection regulations and is able to work within these regulations and instruct the K II - K IV-personnel to work under these measures as well
  • Is able to perform simple record keeping such as writing out daily reports, logs, personnel checking etc.
  • Technically qualified to independently comprehend and perform mechanical installation work according to instructions and drawings whereby the personnel working under his guidance shall be of K II K IV categories
  • Know-how of the respective working, testing and measuring methods as well as of the tools and materials required
  • Know how of the relevant trade specific regulations and their proper application
