Job Overview This position is to lead the Data Warehouse team to design, develop, manage, and optimize Data Warehouse with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture to provide enterprise data services for stakeholders and applications for reporting, analytics, and research. This position is a key lead in the Data team in the analysis, definition and development of a long-term data plan that will meet the analytical needs of the organization. Fundamentally, the Data Warehouse team manages the single source of truth of data for report and analytics and partners with BI Analysts, BI Engineers, Product Managers, Tech Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists; also not to overlook playing active roles in ensuring data governance policies are implemented and adhered to.
Data Warehouse Manager will have the opportunity to demonstrate both technical and communication skills, helping the team to best utilize the available data and deliver simple yet effective and scalable solutions to answer the business questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the grand design of the overall Data Warehouse solution while also breaking it down to multiple and workable phases.
  • Design, propose, and implement a Data Warehouse solution with support and assistance of Data Engineer for both real-time and batch data flows
  • Align with BI Analyst, Engineer, Commercial, and Product team to analyse the data from various sources and design the structure as per business requirements
  • Lead or assist in several aspects of data warehouse, including: ELT/ETL, data quality evaluation and management, data modeling, database architecture, warehousing principles, and other activities.
  • Ensures proper balance between front-end requirements and back-end processing capabilities
  • Be the main pioneer/PIC to build the EDW infrastructure and establish the guidelines
  • Monitor reliability and availability of all data and adopt tools when necessary
  • Lead and manage data warehouse team members to ensure appropriate maintenance and development of all data are according to the established standards
  • Provide day to day support of data warehouse troubleshooting process, procedures, optimization, and data anomalies; not only to correct the data but also to identify the source of the corruption.
  • Assists various departments to manage all activities related to EDW utilization
  • Create and manage architecture documentation and project artifacts such as data models, data dictionaries, etc.
  • Contribute to the hiring and interview process to scale the data warehouse team

Mandatory belongings you need to prepare:

  • Bachelor/Master/PhD from notable university with computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering background.
  • 7+ years of relevant Business Intelligence/Analytics/Data Warehousing/Data Integration work experience.
  • 5+ years data modeling (logical/physical, relational and document/object)
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of Dimensional Modeling and other modeling techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC best practices with an emphasis on DW/BI/Analytics practices.
  • Preferably knowledgeable in various Database: RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server), and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cassandra)
  • Exposed/ Experienced with some / several cloud-based data warehouse systems such as: Google Big Query, Ms Azure, Teradata, Snowflake, etc.
