Job Description

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): plc programmable logic controller programming, solidwork, Mechanical Design.
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position - 5 years in manufacturing environment for semi-conductors, passive components or electronic modules.
  • Preferred TS 16949 awareness training or similar QM standards.
  • Must be a team player - have ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
  • Have PLC/ Solidwork/ Labview knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Must be creative - able to implement new ideas to simplicity/ reduce the process operation.
  • Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
  • Willing to reallocate to Batam ; travel to USA/ APAC/ Europe for meeting purpose.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all activities for automation engineering tooling. Development of Engineering organization, project organization, communication, constantly review of all tasks.
  • Develop manpower and skills of engineers working in automation tooling, maintenance incl. process optimization (regardless engineering, maintenance or operation).
  • Analyze market for state of the art technologies and equipment to develop our own processes for higher productivity (cycle times, automation, flexibility, link processes,) and quality level.
  • Develop machines and processes to ensure process capability.
  • Improve productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of processes with target of Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
  • Select the most suitable suppliers in technology, performance and cost.
  • Find local sources to develop and improve state of the art equipment and continuous improvement.
  • Find rationalization potential in processes and realize projects accordingly.
  • Support other department e.g. process and production engineering for improvements related to customer complaints, production issues, introduction of new products in production, continuous process improvement.
  • Support capacity expansion with new equipment where ever possible and in close cooperation with production engineering groups.
  • Responsible for the compliance with environmental, health and safety obligations and to control the fulfillment in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all subordinates are trained, aware of the requirements and acting responsible, including the use of proper safety equipment and personal protective equipment to perform their work safely.
  • Control 5S at areas under your responsibility, including of daily walk to control for deviations and define actions for improvement.
  • Involve coworker to this process of control and continuous improvement and follow-up actions in the respective area of responsibility.
  • Obligation to support on request in cross functional team in touring all areas of the factory for 5s and EHS issues and to develop measures to improve, including organization and waste reduction.
  • To create and maintain a culture and attitude of EHS and 5S awareness within your department and towards the whole company.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.
