Job Description

  • Develop and own delivery of Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 roadmap for site.
  • Identify and facilitate the addition of advanced technologies that will enable self-optimization of the connected assets on the production lines.
  • Build a variety of automated manufacturing capabilities, including: IoT, Big Data, Automation & Robotics.
  • Drive maturity of the overall site knowledge of Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 solutions, adoption of new technologies, and ensure site has the best access to the latest technological thinking and possible solutions.
  • Manage the installation, operations and maintenance of all levels of the Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 solutions that delivers continuous connectedness, including establishing required user requirement, validation protocol.
  • Work together with task force team to assess & evaluate initiatives derived from roadmap development.
  • Provide the regular update to department head & management team.
  • Develop communication strategy for the site in terms of Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 implementation.
  • To manage Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 related documentation as required.
  • To plan, organize and facilitate Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 programme related meetings.
  • Prepare the budget, progress report & manage the spending on Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Ensure Quality, HSE, Finance, Procurement compliance as per Alcon guidelines
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Computer, Automation) or relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • Master Degree in Engineering or science of relevant discipline (as above) is desirable Experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience with good leadership skills.
  • Preferred Certified Black/ Green Belt with lean manufacturing experience
  • Good technical / engineering knowledge in the areas of digital transformation, Industry 4.0, Smart factory, ISA 88 & 95
  • Experience with MES and other Manufacturing Systems.
  • Project management skills to create, manage and deliver projects.
  • Good knowledge and understand key technical concepts such as IoT, Big data, Automation & Robotics etc.
  • Ability to work with all level of associates, proactive, creative, good interpersonal skills
  • Preferred CSV & Equipment qualification experience
