Job Description & Summary

As the Contract Manager, you will support our fee-earning partners and staff serving government clients with an efficient, reliable and accurate contract management service throughout the life cycle of the project. This role adds value to the business by improving risk management, reducing time spent on internal administration, improving revenue, margin and cash collection, speeding up administrative tasks and eliminating costly administrative errors.

Proposal stage:

  • Perform risk management functions such as client and engagement acceptance, relationship and independence checks, AFS.
  • Prepare PAC materials and minutes.
  • Prepare teaming agreements.
  • Prepare standard bid-related documents including CVs and project citations, working with the BD team.
  • Review and update internal policies often requested in tenders.
  • Manage OGC/RM review of contract terms and ensure any mark-ups are included in the proposal; ensure contract and sub-contract terms (eg milestone payments, indexation, exchange rates) facilitate EM and NIDO optimisation.
  • Continuously improve the quality of CVs and project citations.
  • Prepare and maintain standard proposal materials including client references.
  • Prepare and optimise financial proposals including correct tax and fx treatment.
  • Perform compliance check on proposals.
  • Ensure Salesforce is kept up to date and accurate.

Contracting stage

  • Carry out contract negotiations with the client.
  • Prepare sub-contracts and liaise with other PwC firms on behalf of the project team, taking proper account of tax and FS issues.
  • Set up job codes.

Delivery stage

  • Ensure risk management data is kept up to date (eg annual review of JBRs).
  • Ensure scope changes are properly reviewed.
  • Facilitate second partner reviews.
  • Prepare invoices on a timely basis in a way which is likely to facilitate prompt payment.
  • Review deliverables for compliance with firm policies eg branding, disclaimers, risk mitigation language, quality standards.
  • Ensure client has received invoices and request a payment date.
  • In case of project delays, propose relevant change to milestones.
  • Manage sub-contractor payments.

Throughout the project/year

  • Team revenue forecasting and checking of revenue data used for performance reviews.
  • Monitoring of financial, risk management and business development KPIs.
  • Contribute to database of tender results maintained by BD team.

Requirement:

  • Degree from a university in Human Resources, Business Administration (or relevant) degrees, advanced degrees (MBA, and/or other Master’s Degree) viewed favourably.
  • At least 7-9 years work experience in a leading international consulting firm or multinational companies in an area of resource management, operations, human resources, or related activities, project management and reporting.
  • Proactive thinker and communicator - formation of ideas to improve the team and business, and ability to anticipate and communicate issues that may impact delivery of work.
  • Confident in working with senior leaders, particularly Directors and Partners.
  • Solution oriented and innovative - able to bring and suggest solutions, ideas and options for encountered problems/issues.
  • Driven person, organized and capable of multitasking whilst operating in ambiguous situations.
  • Comfort with reporting and technical solutions, including Google Sheets, advanced Excel, PowerBI and data management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
