Our client is a leading food and Agribusiness industry worldwide. They supply food ingredients, feed and fibre to thousands of customers, ranging from multi national organisations with world famous brands to small family run businesses.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the full operation of the Irrigation and fertigation system of the plantation
  • Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly Irrigation and fertigation routines
  • Manage the long-term Irrigation & Fertigation plan in line with agronomists growing protocols
  • Program and maintain NetBeat (Automation) to ensure highest automation performance
  • Develop and maintain all technical and maintenance literature for the plantation products and systems
  • Manage and train the irrigation team
  • Provide Report to the farm manager and agronomists
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and technical system issues, including pumps
  • Ensure sufficient spare parts for the Irrigation and Fertigation system are held on site

The Successful Applicant

  • Willingness to live at project site, in the East Indonesia
  • Engineering degree
  • Ability to solve Technical and Hydraulic system issues
  • Basic knowledge in electronics (replace boards, reboot systems, upgrade operating system etc)
  • Ability to manoeuvre between professional (agronomic) and cultural objectives
  • Didactic skills with managerial-training/instruction-professional orientation
  • Self-management and teamwork skills and ability to set priorities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills- team player
  • Ability to integrate and formalise new concepts
  • Adaptability to differing cultural and business environments and ability to work effectively under pressure in remote area
  • Good English (verbal, writing, presentation and interpersonal communication) skills
