Job Description
Roles & responsibilities of Vice President, Compliance
Based in Indonesia, Compliance Officer will have overall responsibility in supporting various regulatory compliance initiatives (with a particular focus on payments and financial services) and ensuring that Group Compliance requirements are met – this includes:
Supporting payments / financial services regulatory licenses matters, set up compliance framework & guidelines;
Managing regulatory engagement with relevant authorities and ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements to regulators;
Ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and commercially practical legal advice and recommendations on licensing, regulatory and counterparty risk for payments business;
Contract management for payments business, and leading negotiations on strategic, complex and high value agreements;
Incident management (e.g. responding to regulatory investigations / inspections by authorities / assisting in PR incident responses);
Oversight on strategic payments initiatives from Lazada group perspective
Designing, implementing and enforce framework & baselines for governance on Compliance matters.
Supporting implementation of Group Compliance initiatives across SEA, with specific focus on anti-bribery & corruption, external vendor compliance management, data privacy and AML.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to (among others) competition & trust, information and electronic transactions, AML-CTF, consumer protection and data protection
Job Requirements
Candidate requirements
Qualified Indonesian lawyer, with minimum of 8 – 10 years PQE
Ideal candidate would have a mix of (i) prior in-house experience in the payments sector (preferably a licensed e-money / wallet operator in Indonesia) and (ii) private practice experience in top-tier law firms
Demonstrable track-record in compliance & AML matters
Extensive experience in interacting with regulators, particularly with Bank Indonesia in the payments sector and OJK in financial services.
Full-time, Fixed term, with possibility of renewal.
