About the Team
Our Data Warehouse team is one of the key platforms that gathers, analyzes, and disseminates the data used by various teams, business users, and analysts to make sound business decisions. We rely on data integration, modeling, and architectures to manage our data pipelines. Specifically, our subteam runs the Data Warehouse for GoPay - one of Southeast Asia's largest e-money wallet platforms and Indonesia's leading digital payments provider. As a family of six based in Jakarta, Indonesia, we harden bridges by working closely with Product and Data Engineers to gather any new data points or capture data changes. It’s our job to ensure GoPay’s data pipelines are operating as efficiently and accurately as possible.
Because payments is a highly regulated space, one of the biggest challenges we’ve had to face as a team was ensuring that our data was not only reliable but that it also complied with regulatory standards (since GoPay is a payments provider). Thus, we work closely with Data Governance, Data Security, and Data Analysts to ensure our data consistently meets these requirements. At the moment, our team has been busy working on several new projects, the biggest one being the migration to our brand new Data Warehouse 2.0 system.
Working from home has been a strange time for a lot of us, so our team has been taking time on our calls to trade advice on the best ways to keep sane with this new work setup. We're a very close team made up of culinarians, Netflix enthusiasts, readers, and amateur gamers. We work hard and play hard, and believe it or not, we actually enjoy each other’s company!
