Job Description


The Global Logistics Indonesia Country Manager is responsible for growing the contract logistics business in Indonesia in a safe and sustainable way.

This role works closely with local functional leaders to develop and lead the execution of Toll’s Asia growth strategy to achieve profitable growth by delivering world-class warehousing and transport solutions to customers across the Retail, Consumer, Industrials, Automotive and Healthcare sectors.

This role is accountable for ensuring operational, commercial and customer excellence by adapting and implementing the group’s standards and programs, including relevant organizational capability building plans.

Key challenges

  • Drive the delivery of Toll’s key performance targets on safety, profitability, cash management and growth in country.
  • Driving organization capability building efforts and achieving alignment across different functions in Country.
  • Encouraging the team to adopt more innovative ways of working while embedding the Toll values, behaviours and mindset across the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Orchestrate across different functions to drive the development and delivery of operational plan and budget in alignment with the Global Logistics Asia Growth Strategy.
  • Drive the delivery of Toll’s key performance targets on safety, profitability, cash management and growth in country.
  • Increase and maintain the profitability of the business by controlling day to day operating costs and maximising revenue through development of improved efficiencies and additional revenue streams.
  • Be the face of Toll to key customers for the country – develop strong customer relationships to retain and grow the existing customer base, and lead on regular engagements and complex negotiations.
  • Drive a proactive and continuous improvement process with all customer accounts that will result in improved service performance and cost optimization as part of Toll’s overall customer value proposition.
  • Plan and implement operational and other necessary change initiatives at business site level to improve business performance, Toll’s license to operate and enhance organisational capability in line with Toll Group requirements.
  • Drive a culture of customer, commercial and operational excellence across the business to ensure the highest standards of customer service.
  • Act as role model for Toll’s Safety-Obsessed Leadership behaviours and ensures that all HSE standards are well-implemented and complied with by employees, subcontractors and partners.
  • Build a high performing team, creating a culture where employees can realise their full potential, supporting the organisation to meet current and future business challenges.

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with extensive knowledge and experience in the supply chain and logistics industry
  • At least 5 years of general management experience in managing commercial logistics operations and driving profitable growth in Indonesia
  • Strong commercial acumen, customer focus and leadership integrity
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups to drive positive outcomes
  • Proven track record of building high performing teams and developing talent.
