Your 'day to day':

  • Be responsible to participate in various projects, gather & analyze data-related requirements and provide optimal solutions.
  • Contribute to the definition of Enterprise Metadata Standards, communicate to all relevant stakeholders (data architects, data engineers, data scientists, IT analysts etc.) and enforce them on all data and analytics projects and initiatives.
  • Be responsible to ensure that data under your responsibility complies with PMI’s data management policies and standards approved by the Data Governance Council. Be ready to demonstrate the compliance with data policies and standards to relevant stakeholders e.g., Data Governance Managers, Data Owners, Auditors etc.
  • Be responsible to identify, define and document data sources for various data related projects and initiatives in PMI metadata repository.
  • Perform data criticality assessments and classification using PMI standards for inventoried data.
  • Develop end-to-end data lineage in PMI data lineage tool with appropriate level of automations to avoid manual maintenance of data lineage.
  • Be responsible to analyze and design data mapping of local data codes to global data codes for data consolidation and global reporting.
  • Work with MDM team (Master Data Management) to implement MDM solution for critical master and reference data.
  • Work with Data Quality team to identify & document data quality rules, implement data quality checks and integrate data quality results in the data lineage solution.

Who we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Management, Analytics, Computer modeling, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in working with data, analytics tools, and IT systems.
  • Have a good understanding of data management principles and technologies including metadata management, data modeling, data lineage, data dictionaries, data warehousing etc.
  • Well-built analytical skill, synthesize complex topics in simple outputs.
  • Good combination of business and technical skills is required to effectively work with all stakeholders, understand business challenges or technical challenges
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders, such as business system owners, data owners, data stewards, data architects, data engineers, IT developers etc.
  • Capacity to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Able to work independently and resolve complex/unforeseen issues
  • Technical skills include knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R, or Python; spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel and data visualization software such as MS Power BI will be a plus.
  • Experience with data management/lineage tools like Talend, Solidatus, SAP Information Steward will be a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience of dev/ops using Java and APIs will be a plus.
  • Fluent in English
