Mechanical Engineer / Designer

Education Level: Degree level Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Job Description:

  • Design evaluation and testing of mechanical sonar subsystems.
  • Preparation of mechanical design drawings and change control
  • Assembly and testing of sonar systems

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Mechanical design 3D CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor)
  • Pressure vessel design (elastomer o-ring seals, external pressure <10bar)
  • Heat transfer
  • Industrial packaging of electronics
  • Test fixture design and manufacture
