JOB STATEMENT
To undertake an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineering technician fixed plant leading to Metso Outotec recognised qualification.
Contribute to the achievement of service performance targets for customer satisfaction, safety, and environment, by assisting in the provision of services to meet operational goals through the application of base mechanical trade skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent is expected to assist with the control of documents as
To complete a programme of training to be conducted in the workshops and customers fixed plant where MO equipments operated.
To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of hand tools and power tools including, but not restricted to, repair and refurbish.
Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of metrology equipment.
Attendance at class on a full time followed by day release and evening class basis leading to recognised Metso qualifications over a two year period.
Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Trainer or Supervisor that are calculated to contribute to the requisite levels of performance and competence.
To provide instruction and advice within the apprenticeship commensurate with training completed.
Assist in applying base mechanical trade skills and knowledge that assist in the repair, refurbish and operations activities of the work unit.
Ensure that performance meets with organisational procedures.
Contribute to team effectiveness through participation and cooperation.
COMPLIANCE WITH ESTABLISHED OH&S AND QUALITY SYSTEM POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
As an employee of Metso Minerals Indonesia, you are required to be aware of your responsibilities under the MO SHE and Government Regulation and to:
Adhere to safe work practices and report immediately any unsafe equipment.
Work within the provided OH&S guidelines and policies.
Report all accidents and hazards.
Wear the provided personal protective equipment when appropriate and required.
Follow MO’s operations policies and procedures by understanding the corporate Quality System.
Work within management policy guidelines set.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
Diploma Mechanical Engineering.

Desirable

Diploma Mechanical Engineering.
SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
No prerequisite experience required but a demonstrable interest in mechanical engineering through school or hobby interests.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawing, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work as a team member and possess good interpersonal, communication and literacy skills.
To work with efficiency, accuracy and to be able to meet deadlines.
To be able to prioritise workload and work under own initiative.
High level of flexibility and dependability.
Demonstrable interest in an engineering discipline
Highly motivated
Aptitude for practical science or engineering skills.
Competent in MS Office and Internet
Good interpersonal skills
Medium English proviciency level, both spoken and written

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is predominately situated in an office environment, however there may be exposure to the workshop facility or site work from time to time where noise, pollution and exposure to extreme conditions may apply and the usage of Personal Protective Equipment will be required.
