About the Role


This position will help the VP and SVP of Transport and Logistic to construct strategy and implementation that derived from the company and business’ objectives, to become Public Policy and Government Relations’ strategy across the Transport and Logistic team. The role also needs to identify opportunities from external sources that translate into PPGR partnerships and collaborations that helps Gojek maintain its commitment towards the government, driver partners, and industry associations.



What Will You Do

  • Develop and lead long term and immediate public policy strategies that support transport and logistics business objectives and drivers favorable policy and regulatory outcome
  • Collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders to shape Gojek’s overall positions on key policies topics and manage the creation of written and visual materials advocating these positions in national government
  • Advise leadership on emerging regulatory and legislative issues that could impact Gojek operations
  • Build and manage a network of key governments stakeholders and relationships to help shape a positive policy and regulatory environment
  • Providing regular analysis and support on industry issues that impact Gojek operations.
  • Regular liaison with external consultants, vendors, and advisors.

What Will You Do

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience and a university degree in political science, international relations and/or humanities (ideally) Ability to influence stakeholders across levels within the organization
  • Being proactive, resilient and having the drive to get things done
  • Ability to move with agility, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills in order to cover multiple parallel running strategies
  • Ability to multitask, deal with and lead discussions with multiple internal stakeholders (legal, compliance, corporate, and finance)
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to synthetase complex policy issues in digestible policy brief memos for senior executives/management.

Our Public Policy and Government Relations Team consists of over 30 people, focusing in PPGR on different streams, such as Financial Services, Corporate Activity, Information and communications technology, and others. As Nasi Goreng is to the people of Indonesia, we are to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. Our main responsibility is to establish partnership and develop solutions to opportunities, as well as regulatory challenges in domains that impact Gojek's business. How does one achieve this, you may ask? By developing best in class engagement strategies and policy solutions backed by rigorous analysis, research and data. For instance, we also provide strategic advice and guidance to Tech, Product, and Business organizations as well as key executives in the execution of Gojek's business goals.
