Job Description

  • Missions
  • Design & develop an adapted solution for the customer
  • Commissioning and technical support on site
  • Provide expert pre-sales support to the OEM sales force on automation architectures and associated OEM customers based upon the IA Business offer.
  • Obtain detailed requirements and constraints from the customer, assist the customer in defining the best implementation (validate, optimise and differentiate) of the selected platform architectures.
  • Explain the technical advantages and disadvantages of the proposed architecture(s).
  • Main Activities
  • Using multidisciplinary functions to solve problems with functional/ solution of machines
  • Technical supervision / support of the existing customer base and potential customers in the defined area of responsibility
  • Clarification of the technical conditions at the customer site.
  • Technical support for sales calls and telephone L2/L3 advice from the sales region
  • Creating system architecture in consultation with the field
  • Technical support for user performs training / documentation to meet specific customer needs in consultation with the training department.
  • Ensuring a functioning and Cross-border Cooperation:
  • Coordination with sales colleagues, local PAE peers, and machine expert communities
  • technical concept development with ADE / PAE/ SAE
  • Provide front and back office pre-sales support for the OEM Sales organisation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge & Capabilities
  • Customer focus, listening and communication skills
  • Good functional knowledge in Automation & mechanical engineering (Motion, Motion control, machine safety, machine operator...)
  • A strong balance between practical and theoretical knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of competitive products and system architecture for industrial automation offers
  • Customer and sales orientation
  • Able to solve both hardware and software engineering issues
  • Background / Experience

2-3 years of professional experience recommended in automation platform, preferred familiar with motion, HMI & controllers in machine domain.

  • Qualifications
  • Technical education and engineering degree, preferred with industrial automation background
  • Language skills: good communication and technical writing skill in English
