Cloud (VMware) Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to support & troubleshoot VMware Virtualization, Veeam.
  • Backup, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux OS, Hyper-converged Infrastructure and Hardware environment.
  • Responsible for Incident and Problem management as well as to provide RCA Report.
  • Perform Disaster recovery using Veeam failback and failover.
  • Technical Account Engineer for several accounts.
  • Responsible for Preventive Maintenance.
  • Ability to handle small projects and deployment.
  • New product testing and implementation.
  • To be able to perform in 24/7 environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • VMware Certified Professional would be advantageous.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in the provision of high level support, maintenance and design for Virtual Platforms for hosted applications and services in the ESX Server environment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience administering VMware vSphere 6 environments using vCenter and vSphere clients.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience using vSphere PowerCLI to perform tasks such as creating datastores, taking snapshots, creating VMs, health checks, etc.
  • Experience troubleshooting VMware environments running both Windows and Linux virtual machines.
  • Experience performing maintenance tasks, applying software patches and upgrade.
  • Required technical skills on VMware (Vsphere, vCenter, HA), Microsoft .Windows Server OS, Hyper-V, Hyper-converged Infrastructure, standalone server, iSCSI & San Storage.
  • AWS Cloud Experienced.
  • Technical skills on Active Directory, SQL Clustering would be advantageous
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
