The main purpose of the role of franchise development is to develop franchise business in the assigned territory.
In Broad Terms The objectives Are
Set up the franchising system for the company
Design the franchising system, establish standard contracts, prepare the Franchising guide for new franchisees, prepare materials for use by the company and new franchisees
Develop a franchising strategy for the company, including a franchising marketing strategy, defining the royalty system to be used.
Participate in exhibitions and fairs for the purpose of attracting new Franchisees
Setup the methodology for ensuring that franchisees comply fully with the requirements of the franchising guide
Manage relationships with all franchisees
Responsibilities : Set – up -
Propose different forms of franchising systems for discussion and final selection
Design and establish all materials necessary for the creation of the company franchising system
Prepare the franchising business plan
Develop the franchising fee structure and franchising royalty structure
Determine the flows to be used for knowledge and materials transfers, financial flows
Design hierarchy of responsibilities and accountabilities
Draft the franchising proposal document
Draft the franchising agreement in its various template forms
Design the franchising disclosure document
Prepare and undertake training programs for new franchisees
Develop the franchising operations manual/franchise guide
Marketing –
Develop the franchising marketing strategy
Prepare standard and tailored franchising marketing presentations and materials
Identify the channels for marketing the franchise opportunity
Participate in exhibitions and fairs for the purpose of attracting new franchisees
Perform marketing presentations both in person and on-line
Manage the company web page devoted to franchising
Prepare and develop all marketing materials used for franchising
Identify and source new franchisees
Implementation –
Negotiate agreements with potential new franchisees
Guide and assist new franchisees in transitioning to the franchise Operation
Train and education new franchisees in the execution of all requirements related to the franchise agreement
Act as support provider for new Franchisees
Conduct in-house and in the field presentations on Franchising
Managing Franchisor –
Ensure the delivery of proper periodic reporting from franchisees to the franchisor
Facilitate coordination between the franchisees and the support function departments of the company
Coordinate with internal quality department to assist in their verification of progress made by franchisees
Perform account management role
Collaborate with all heads of department to ensure the proper and timely coordination and flow of relevant information
Participate in audits as required
Maintain an awareness of best practices in franchising and bring these methods to the fore in all franchising arrangements
Prepare and maintain all e-learning materials for training franchisees and others persons in the company
Requirements : Bachelor degree
Age max 40 years
Experienced in franchising systems, preferably with 4-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledgeable in franchising documentation in its various forms, and the different Franchising approaches
Demonstrated high-level of skill in using MS office applications and other resources
Culturally attuned and able to work across cultures
Able to manage multiple projects to completion and priorities
Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
Drive, dynamism, enthusiasm, and ‘can-do’ attitude is a must
Tech savvy and knows how to use relevant technologies to advantage
