Role Purpose:
  • The incumbent will undertake the full range of HR operations roles across multiple countries, functions, and geographies managing the end-to-end HR Operations functions across the East Asia Region.
  • This role is responsible for the delivery of HR Operations and ensuring consistency and accuracy of the processes, systems, and data including data management in the region.
  • The incumbent will provide excellent services in the full spectrum of HR functions.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
The Regional HR Operations Specialist will provide day-to-day administrative support for employee life cycle events and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and standardization of HR services delivery. Applies knowledge of HR practices, policies and processes to operational issues and continuous improvement initiative.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
  • With 1 - 3 years working experience in similar function.
  • Experience working in large, diverse teams and able to communicate with different levels.
  • Good analytical skills and have experience in data analysis, statistic, or reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws, tax, and employment practices
  • Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal relation skills; strong attention to detail in composing and proofing communications & reports
  • A Team player who is proactive, independent, meticulous, highly analytical, and process-oriented with excellency at problem-solving
  • Ability to be flexible in operational style to meet the needs of a multi-cultural and diversified, matrix organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective time management skills

Role specific skills:
  • Operates as a basic user of information systems, digital and office technology
  • Able, with adjustments, if necessary, to use office software and British Council systems to do the job and manage documents or processes.
  • Well versed with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Requirements:
  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in the country in which the role is based.
  • Tertiary qualification or Certificate in any field
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and any local language
